Hayes Garden Partnership for Urban Indigenous Families

Each year Under One Sky provides 10 Indigenous families with $25 worth of produce once a week from June - October. Families get access to ultra-fresh food, are exposed to new vegetables and ways of cooking and develop a relationship with the staff and students at Hayes Farm who will be growing their food. Families are invited to help with growing, harvesting and packing the community shares developing hands-on gardening skills every week. Along-side the weekly Veggies Shares, families receive informational posters on the weekly produce to increase food knowledge and skills. Each month guest speakers are invited to share their knowledge on Indigenous agricultural practices and food sovereignty.
